CDC Web Portal
The National Business Group on Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been involved in an ongoing multi-year cooperative agreement, focusing on promoting health, preventing disease and disability, and managing chronic disease in the workplace. This project translates public health principles and practices into actionable strategies for employers. Major aspects of the initiative include:
- A web portal to a range of CDC information that can help employers' health care decision making. The web portal includes links to general CDC resources as well as health resources by topic.
- A series of solutions seminars, held in conjunction with CDC, to bring science and best practices to employers on a range of health and disease prevention topics.
- A bioterrorism initiative to help employers and the communities in which they operate prepare for public health emergencies and disease outbreaks.
- Diabetes at Work
